Title:Laser Diode Beam Basics, Manipulations and Characterizations [electronic resource]
Author(s): Haiyin Sun
Date:2012
Publisher:Dordrecht : Springer Netherlands : Imprint: Springer
Size:1 online resource
Note:Springer e-book platform
Note:Springer 2013 e-book collections
Note:Many optical design technical books are available for many years which mainly deal with image optics design based on geometric optics and using sequential raytracing technique. Some books slightly touched laser beam manipulationoptics design. On the other hand many books on laser diodes have been published that extensively deal with laser diode physics with little touching on laser diode beam manipulations and characterizations. There are some internetresources dealing with laser diode beams. However , these internet resources have not covered enough materials with enough details on laser diode beam manipulations and characterizations. A technical book concentrated on laser diodebeam manipulations and characterizations can fit in to the open and provi de useful information to laser diode users. Laser Diode Beam Basics, Manipulations and Characterizations is concentrated on the very practical side of thesubject, it only discusses the basic physics and mathematics that are necessary for the readers in or der to understand the subject. This book is intended to provide a practical guidance and reference to those scientists and engineerswho are still new to laser diode applications, and to those undergraduate and graduate students who are studying lasers and optics. Readers are expected to be able to fast and easily find the most practical and useful information aboutlaser diodes in this book without the need of searching through a sea of information
Note:Springer eBooks
Contents:1. Laser Diode Basics
2. Laser Diode Beam Propagation Basics
3. Single Transverse Mode Laser Diode Beam Manipulation Optics
4. Multi Transverse Mode Laser Diode Beam Manipulation Optics
5. Laser Diode Beam Characterization

Title:Graph Theory, Combinatorics and Algorithms [electronic resource] : Interdisciplinary Applications
Author(s): Martin Charles Golumbic
Irith Ben-Arroyo Hartman
Date:2005
Publisher:Boston, MA : Springer US
Size:1 online resource
Note:Springer e-book platform
Note:Springer 2013 e-book collections
Note:Graph Theory, Combinatorics and Algorithms: Interdisciplinary Applications focuses on discrete mathematics and combinatorial algorithms interacting with real world problems in computer science, operations research, appliedmathematics and engineering. The book contains eleven chapters written by experts in their respective fields, and covers a wide spectrum of high-interest problems across these discipline domains. Among the contributing authors areRichard Karp of UC Berkeley and Robert Tarjan of Prin ceton both are at the pinnacle of research scholarship in Graph Theory and Combinatorics. The chapters from the contributing authors focus on real world applications, all ofwhich will be of considerable interest across the areas of Operations Research, Co mputer Science, Applied Mathematics, and Engineering. These problems include Internet congestion control, high-speed communication networks, multi-objectauctions, resource allocation, software testing, data structures, etc. In sum, this is a book focused on major, contemporary problems, written by the top research scholars in the field, using cutting-edge mathematical and computationaltechniques
